A day in the life:As the MLR & Veeva Operations Lead in the Healthcare division, you stand up and run the function that gets pharmaceutical promotional content through Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review at scale. You own the methodology, the Veeva Vault PromoMats environment, and the small team that keeps assets moving across reviewers without bottlenecks. You are the senior operational partner to our clients' medical, legal, and regulatory counterparts, the architect of the modular systems that compress review cycles, and the leader who turns MLR from a launch bottleneck into a throughput advantage.
This is a build-and-lead role for someone who has run promotional operations before and wants to own it end-to-end at an agency scaling its healthcare practice. You set the standards, hire and coach the team, and make regulated marketing actually move.
Key Responsibilities:- Function Leadership: You stand up, document, and continuously improve Power Digital's MLR operations methodology, setting the standards and workflows that govern how regulated content moves through review.
- Team Leadership & Coaching: You build, lead, and develop a small operations team, including offshore executors, balancing capacity against demand and coaching for quality, speed, and compliance accuracy.
- Veeva PromoMats Ownership: You own the Veeva Vault PromoMats environment - claims library architecture, modular content strategy, reference stewardship, 2253 submission packaging, and integration with creative and media workflows.
- Client & Stakeholder Leadership: You serve as the senior operational partner to clients' medical, legal, and regulatory teams, leading review-process alignment and protecting launch timelines across the portfolio.
- Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize business processes.
- Utilize and leverage Power Digital's Nova ecosystem as it relates to your department.
- Other applicable or related duties as assigned.
Role Requirements:- 7+ years in pharmaceutical or healthcare promotional operations, with prior experience standing up or scaling an MLR or promotional review function
- Deep Veeva Vault PromoMats expertise at the admin level (configuration, workflows, claims library design, modular content)
- People leadership experience, including managing or mentoring direct reports and/or offshore teams
- Strong command of FDA OPDP guidance and 21 CFR 202, including fair balance, ISI placement, branded vs. unbranded vs. disease-awareness rules, and 2253 filing
- Proven track record in compressing review cycle times and increasing content throughput at scale
- Comfortable leading process conversations directly with client medical, legal, and regulatory leadership
- Bonus: Veeva PromoMats certification, agency-side pharma experience, or experience building offshore or managed-services delivery models
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)- Team throughput: meets or exceeds quarterly volume target for assets and variants processed
- Average MLR review cycle time reduced or held at/below the division benchmark
- First-pass approval rate of 80%+ across the team's submissions
- On-time submission rate: 95%+ of assets submitted to client review on schedule
- Team retention of 90%+ with 100% accuracy on 2253 filings and regulatory packaging
Most Important Things (MITs)- Stand up the MLR operations function - methodology, Veeva PromoMats environment, and modular content library - as a repeatable, scalable system.
- Build and lead the operations team, including hiring and onboarding offshore execution and establishing the US-lead / offshore-executor model.
- Establish the connective workflow between Power Digital's creative and media teams and client reviewers so compliance is addressed before assets enter review.
- Own senior-level review-process alignment with client medical, legal, and regulatory stakeholders to protect launch timelines.
- Define and report on throughput and cycle-time metrics that prove MLR operations as a competitive advantage.
