Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
• Experience in mixed animal practice, particularly with small animals, equine, porcine, and cattle
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with animal producers and clients
• Ability to implement herd health protocols for large animals
• Experience with consultation services for producers is a plus
• Compassionate nature and commitment to animal welfare
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary care for a diverse range of animals including small, equine, porcine, and cattle
• Implement and advise on herd health protocols for large animal producers
• Consult with producers to develop tailored health management plans
• Conduct routine check-ups and emergency treatments for small animals
• Participate in after-hours on-call duties as needed
• Maintain thorough medical records for all animal patients
• Educate clients on preventive health measures and care for their animals.
