We're seeking a Mixed Animal Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Crete, Nebraska, just 25 miles southwest of Lincoln. With a caseload that is approximately 50% large animal and 50% small animal, this is an opportunity to build broad clinical skills while practicing alongside an experienced and supportive veterinary team.

Our mixed animal veterinary practice combines the close-knit feel of rural medicine with the equipment, diagnostics, and support needed to practice high-quality, evidence-based medicine. Our veterinary team works collaboratively, and our strong technician support allows our doctors to focus on patient care while continuing to develop their individual interests.

Our large animal caseload includes cow/calf, equine, small feedlot, swine, poultry, and small ruminant medicine. On the small animal side, our veterinarians see preventative and sick-care appointments, dentistry, urgent cases, and surgical patients.

What You'll Do

As a Mixed Animal Associate Veterinarian, you'll have the opportunity to:
  • Provide preventative, diagnostic, medical, and surgical care for small animal patients
  • Work with cow/calf operations, including pregnancy checks, bull fertility exams, calving cases, and herd-health programs
  • Provide primary equine care, reproductive services, and foal care
  • Treat small ruminants and other livestock species
  • Utilize in-house CBC/chemistry analyzers and digital radiology
  • Perform dentistry and soft-tissue surgery, with opportunities for select orthopedic procedures
  • Provide ambulatory large animal veterinary services using the clinic veterinary truck
  • Participate in a rotating large animal after-hours emergency schedule
