Summary

The Division Operations Manager will lead oversight for operational division teams in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws. The Division Operations Manager is responsible for direction and oversight of a designated Division consisting of multiple sales center locations. The Division Operations Manager is responsible for monitoring and measuring the operational processes and procedures of assigned locations to ensure effectiveness, productivity, and time management.

Essential Duties/Accountabilities
  • Manages oversight of sales centers processes and procedures to ensure effectiveness, productivity, and time management.
  • Collaborates with the Division President and Regional Managers on inventory control, sales support, processes and procedures, and fleet/facilities.
  • Responsible for oversight of operational initiatives for training and coaching Sale Center Managers on achieving operational excellence in audits, customer service and people management skills, optimal store appearance and merchandizing, and in supporting sales.
  • Ensures that all safety practices and policies are implemented and enforced in assigned sales centers order to maintain our culture of safety.
  • Achieves or exceeds field operating targets with specific focus on growing Gross Margin Dollars through Operations policies and procedures, i.e. warranties, VCB, and ESD and change management.
  • Drives divisional operation teams to achieve corporate goals related to process and procedures, inventory turns, ESD reductions, and warranty processes.
  • Responsible for reports on operating costs within assigned areas. Alerts management of cost and labor over run. Makes recommendations and implements solutions to problems related to same.
  • Participates directly and effectively in the dissemination of corporate strategy and message to each location and its management.
  • Works with upper management to develop and improve operational processes and procedures.
  • Ensures project control activities and costs are managed daily and that appropriate actions are taken to ensure consistent deliverables and project executions. Demonstrates business acumen within area of responsibility. Possess in-depth understanding of change management processes.
  • Keeps up-to-date on information and technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance.
  • Communicates regarding all levels of operational progressions to ensure the activities in the field are consistent with Company policies and procedures. Works with team to drive division and region operations to maximize improvements and minimize losses.
  • Responsible for establishing and communicating performance expectations, providing positive and constructive feedback, determining training and development needs, and conducting on-the-job training to ensure execution of projects.
  • Assists with developing leaders within the sales centers team and enhances capabilities of all team members.
  • Oversight responsibilities include ensuring smooth and efficient transitions for service center relocations, closures, and new openings.
  • Monitors and measures the operational processes and procedures of assigned locations to ensure effectiveness and productivity.
  • Assists assigned sales centers to achieve passing audits during quarterly reviews.
  • Works with upper management to develop and improve operational processes and procedures.
  • Trains, mentors, and elevates Sale Center Managers.
  • Coaches Sales Center Managers on customer service and people management skills.
  • Coordinates with Sales Center Managers to improve appearance and merchandising of location.
  • Provides operational guidance and direction to Sales Center Managers to support sales efforts.
  • Leads the divisional charge to achieve established corporate goals related to process and procedures, inventory turns, ESD reductions, and warranty processes.
  • Participates directly and effectively in the dissemination of corporate strategy and message to each location and its management.
  • Communicates regarding all levels of operational progressions or lack thereof to direct supervisors as well as division and location management to maximize improvements and minimize loss.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Five (5) years' experience in or related to field operations management in Distribution or Supply Chain required
  • Experience leading a large team across various geographic locations
  • Working with a cross functional organization to help achieve goals unique to each department
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • HVAC and Refrigeration industry experience a plus

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand sit or walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Travel
  • This position requires travel. Frequent travel is outside the local area and overnight.


Work Environment
  • The employee is regularly required to work in an office, warehouse, or outdoor environment.
  • While performing the duties of this position, employee regularly travels to Company locations and works in offices and other warehouse/storeroom environments.
  • Position will require employee to travel between sites in all types of weather and employee may be subjected to all types of weather conditions.
  • Employee will be required to office in assigned location when not traveling.
