Our ASIC & FPGA Engineering organization is a centralized engineering capability supporting a diverse portfolio of advanced aerospace, space, and defense programs. Rather than joining a single product team, our engineers become part of a long-term engineering organization where they contribute across multiple technologies and programs as business needs evolve, providing continuous technical growth and long-term career stability.

The Opportunity

As a Verification Engineering Manager, you will initially lead approximately 5-10 verification engineers while helping grow a high-performing verification organization over time. This role blends people leadership, technical leadership, and program execution. You will recruit outstanding engineers, develop future technical leaders, partner across engineering disciplines, and strengthen the organization through continuous improvement.

Our managers are expected to build exceptional engineers, deliver exceptional execution, and continuously strengthen the organization for the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build a High-Performing Verification Team - Lead recruiting activities including maintaining job requisitions, participating in hiring events, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations while building a strong verification organization.
  • Lead Program Execution - Drive successful execution across assigned programs by proactively identifying technical, schedule, and staffing risks, removing obstacles, coordinating resources, and promoting accountability.
  • Provide Technical Leadership - Promote engineering excellence through sound verification practices, technical reviews, mentoring, and collaboration with technical experts and engineering leaders.
  • Develop Engineers and Future Leaders - Coach engineers in their technical and professional growth, conduct performance and career discussions, recognize outstanding contributors and emerging leaders, and support employees requiring additional development.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Execution - Partner effectively with ASIC design, FPGA design, systems engineering, software engineering, program management, chief engineers, and functional leadership to successfully deliver complex products.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement - Champion improvements to engineering processes, onboarding, documentation, communication, metrics, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support Engineering Excellence - Ensure engineers have the tools, resources, access, approvals, and environment needed to perform at their highest level.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Typically 5-15 years of relevant ASIC and/or FPGA engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
  • Strong background in ASIC and/or FPGA digital design, verification, or both, with an understanding of the product development lifecycle.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop engineers.
  • Proactive, collaborative, action-oriented leadership style with sound engineering judgment.
  • Ability to balance technical excellence, people development, and program execution.
  • Leadership Attributes
  • Approachable, supportive, and collaborative.
  • High integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
