Full Job Description
Job Duties:
Performs comprehensive and problem focused history and physical exams.
Interprets subjective and objective data to formulate an assessment and plan.
Orders and interprets diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and lab work.
Orders, prescribes, and dispenses medications, orthosis, orthotics, braces and other devices allowed.
Performs joint and bursa aspirations, closed reduction of fractures and dislocations, injections of joints, and bursa as well as brace, cast and splint applications.
Completes electronic preop lab orders.
Maintains familiarity with and abides by the policies and procedures.
Participates in appropriate clinical meetings to ensure continuum of care.
Maintains memberships and activity within relevant professional organizations.
Must be able to set priorities and provide direction to others that is clear, concise, and promotes efficiency.
Regularly access internal and external resources to maintain professional knowledge base.
Annual completion of specified competencies and in-services.
Respects patients' right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality and will provide a safe and supportive patient atmosphere.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or providers.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Professional certified registered nurse practitioner or physician assistant licensure required.
