About the Role. G2 Ops supports mission-critical defense and technology initiatives by solving complex operational and engineering challenges. We are seeking a motivated, collaborative Model Based System Engineer to join a high-functioning team of engineers developing the Navy's first Submarine Communications shore communication platform models.

In this role, you'll use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering practices to build and maintain platform models that serve as an authoritative source of truth. Your work will contribute directly to the Navy's transition to Digital Engineering and help maintain the Submarine Force's tactical and strategic communications infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain Submarine Communications shore communication platform models using Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Apply MBSE methods to capture system architecture, requirements, interfaces, relationships, and technical information.
• Build and maintain multiple platform models as authoritative sources of truth for engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Support the Navy's transition to Digital Engineering through consistent, accurate, and reusable system models.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and technical stakeholders to ensure models accurately represent platform architectures and engineering requirements.
• Maintain model quality, consistency, traceability, and configuration across multiple platform models.
• Use model data to support engineering analysis, technical decision-making, and communication across engineering disciplines.
• Identify opportunities to improve modeling practices, digital engineering workflows, and model usability.
• Contribute to engineering efforts that support the continued reliability and effectiveness of Submarine Force tactical and strategic communications infrastructure.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering, or a related engineering role.
• Experience developing and maintaining system models using Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Ability to develop clear, accurate, and maintainable system architecture and engineering models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or government programs.
• Experience supporting Navy programs, communications systems, complex platforms, or system-of-systems environments.
• Familiarity with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and systems architecture modeling practices.
• Experience maintaining models as an authoritative source of truth within a digital engineering environment.
• Experience with requirements traceability, architecture development, interface modeling, or engineering analysis.
• Relevant systems engineering, MBSE, or digital engineering certification or specialized training.
• Relevant advanced certifications or specialized training.
• Experience working in cross-functional or customer-facing environments.

• This is a full-time position supporting mission-focused customer environments.
• Outside employment or activities must not create conflicts of interest with company or customer responsibilities.

Compensation & Benefits. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
