Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mid Network Administrator to deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise data networks, including LAN and WAN environments. This role is responsible for supporting medium-sized data centers and large retail networks, managing network infrastructure, monitoring network performance, and ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient network operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Configure and maintain enterprise network devices and systems.
• Develop and implement network monitoring and measurement solutions, including usage data collection.
• Perform system configuration, system hardening, system troubleshooting, and interface troubleshooting.
• Configure and support Juniper and Cisco network devices, including troubleshooting router and switch issues.
• Implement and maintain VLANs, trunks, and network security controls for switched network environments.
• Manage network devices within network management tools and maintain accurate network inventory.
• Proactively monitor, investigate, and troubleshoot network issues using network management tools.
• Implement data and voice networking solutions that align with operational and security requirements.
• Recommend operational and system improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen network controls.
• Support special projects and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology-related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience supporting Cisco IOS and Juniper network environments.
• Expert knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and network security concepts.
• Intermediate knowledge of SD-WAN and cloud networking environments.
• Knowledge of networking best practices and industry standards.
• Familiarity with VMware and distributed switching.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Experience using network management and monitoring tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure and connectivity issues.
• Ability to participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call support schedule.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including repeated bending, standing, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting retail network environments.
• Experience supporting medium-sized data centers.
• Experience with SolarWinds Network Management tools.
Certifications
• CCNA or higher certification preferred.
