Description

The Construction Scheduler develops, maintains, and analyzes schedules supporting post-Hurricane Lowell damage assessment, stabilization, facility repair, and recovery activities across Kauaʻi. The position provides schedule visibility across multiple work locations and identifies critical-path activities, resource constraints, and potential impacts to mission restoration.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain integrated schedules for facility assessment, repair, restoration, and construction activities.
  • Coordinate contractor schedules and integrate multiple concurrent work locations into the overall CMS schedule.
  • Establish activity logic, durations, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Track actual progress against planned performance and identify schedule variances.
  • Analyze critical path, near-critical activities, float, constraints, and schedule recovery opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules and daily/weekly recovery plans.
  • Coordinate scheduling requirements with Construction Managers, Engineers, Logistics, Cost Estimators, contractors, and Government representatives.
  • Evaluate schedule impacts related to material availability, workforce, equipment, weather, site access, design changes, and unforeseen conditions.
  • Review contractor schedules, schedule updates, recovery schedules, and time-impact analyses.
  • Provide schedule forecasts and recommendations to support Government recovery priorities.
  • Maintain schedule documentation and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly schedule reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of construction scheduling experience, preferably supporting facilities or Federal/DoD construction.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining detailed construction schedules.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, Critical Path Method (CPM), resource loading, float, and schedule analysis.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to analyze complex, rapidly changing work environments and clearly communicate schedule risks and impacts.
  • Experience supporting NAVFAC, USACE, DoD, or military installation projects preferred.
  • Experience supporting hurricane/disaster recovery, emergency repairs, or accelerated construction programs preferred.
  • Experience integrating schedules across multiple contractors and geographically dispersed work sites.
  • PMI-SP, PMP, or equivalent scheduling/project management certification preferred.
