As a Manager of System Planning, you will lead a team responsible for system planning activities that support safe, reliable, and efficient pipeline operations, including capacity analysis, operational optimization, and fuel-use minimization. You will establish and drive planning policies, processes, standards, and modeling methodologies across the operational area, while providing strategic oversight of hydraulic model assumptions, operational impact assessments, capacity evaluations, and outage studies.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Pipeline Control, Operations, and Project teams to support operational planning, system optimization, and expansion project development, ensuring sound technical decisions that enhance system performance, reliability, and long-term business objectives.

Responsibilities/Expectations:- Performs hydraulic modeling on natural gas and liquids pipeline systems using steady-state and transient simulations to evaluate performance and identify optimization opportunities
- Works closely with internal partners to scope facilities required for expansion projects
- Collaborates with pipeline control, operations, and commercial functions to identify hydraulic impacts and help plan outages on the system
- Develops new application tools, facilitates improvements in design modeling philosophies, and provides training and support to enhance the organization's capabilities as it relates to hydraulic modeling
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provides technical mentoring to direct reports in their team
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of pipeline operations, system requirements, and the interstate transmission project development process
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of eight (8) years' experience in pipeline hydraulic modeling
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and fifteen (15) years' experience in pipeline hydraulic modeling and PE license
Other Requirements:- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Hydraulic simulation modeling experience
- Preferred: Experience with Excel, VBA, PowerBi, Python, Power Automate
- Preferred: DNV-GL SYNERGI and SPS Gas Modeling Software
