This position requires a strategic leader who can balance business planning, coaching, talent development, and execution while leading from the front in a highly competitive and evolving healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Execution
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Hereditary Cancer Screening Sales Executives to consistently achieve and exceed revenue, volume, and growth objectives.
  • Drive execution of regional sales strategies, tactics, and initiatives to maximize territory performance and market penetration.
  • Partner with Sales Executives on strategic account planning, opportunity identification, and customer engagement.
  • Maintain deep understanding of MyRisk®, hereditary cancer screening, precision medicine, and the competitive landscape.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and proactively address performance gaps.
  • Support complex customer engagements, executive-level discussions, and strategic business opportunities.


Business Planning & Territory Management
  • Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with organizational objectives and commercial strategy.
  • Analyze market dynamics, customer needs, competitive threats, and growth opportunities to optimize resource deployment.
  • Guide territory and account prioritization strategies across Women's Health, Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and other specialties.
  • Monitor regional performance and adjust strategies to achieve financial targets.
  • Identify opportunities within community practices, integrated delivery networks, academic centers, health systems, physician groups, and payer organizations.


Customer & Account Development
  • Coach representatives on how to effectively build relationships with key healthcare providers, health systems, and decision-makers.
  • Support development of Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships within Women's Health, Primary Care, Oncology, and related specialties.
  • Assist sales representatives with navigating complex healthcare organizations and multi-stakeholder decision-making environments.
  • Participate in customer meetings, conferences, workshops, and industry events to strengthen business relationships and increase market awareness.


People Leadership & Talent Development
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Conduct regular field rides and coaching sessions to strengthen sales effectiveness, clinical acumen, business planning, and execution.
  • Ensure all direct reports receive timely performance feedback, coaching documentation, and development planning.
  • Create a culture of accountability, performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear goals, expectations, and performance measurements aligned with business priorities.
  • Identify and develop future sales leaders within the organization.


Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Operations, Market Access, Revenue Cycle, Training, and Human Resources teams.
  • Provide field insights to support sales training, marketing initiatives, product launches, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate on development and refinement of customer-facing materials and educational programs.
  • Communicate marketplace trends, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to internal stakeholders.


Administration & Operational Excellence
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative responsibilities, including CRM documentation, forecasting, expense reporting, and performance reporting.
  • Monitor CRM compliance and reinforce best practices related to Salesforce and territory management tools.
  • Review expenses and resource utilization to ensure alignment with profitability and budget objectives.
  • Maintain forecasting accuracy and business planning discipline across the team.


Compliance & Ethics
  • Model and reinforce Myriad's values, code of conduct, and commitment to patient-centric care.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, HIPAA regulations, privacy requirements, and promotional guidelines.
  • Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical decision-making.
  • Maintain the highest standards related to handling patient, provider, and company information.


Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Degree in Life Sciences, Business, Healthcare, or related field preferred.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS, or similar) preferred.

Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of successful sales experience within diagnostics, molecular diagnostics, genetic testing, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or related healthcare sectors.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful sales leadership experience with direct people management responsibilities.
  • Experience leading field-based sales teams in highly competitive healthcare markets.
  • Demonstrated success driving territory growth, provider adoption, and achievement of business objectives.
  • Previous experience in women's health, oncology, hereditary cancer screening, molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, or genetic testing strongly preferred.
  • Experience selling to OB/GYN, Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and related specialties preferred.
  • Proven success managing large health systems, IDNs, academic centers, and complex healthcare accounts.
