A Brief Overview
The Rehabilitation Therapy Manager leads and oversees pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation services (PT, OT, SLP, and Audiology), ensuring high-quality, family-centered care across the continuum. This role balances clinical excellence, operational efficiency, team engagement, and strategic planning while fostering strong interdisciplinary collaboration and supporting program growth.

Essential Functions
  • Leadership, Team Management & Culture
    • Lead, supervise, and develop therapy staff (Supervisors, PT, OT, SLP, Audiology, and support team).
    • Manage hiring, on boarding, performance evaluations, and staffing models aligned with volume and acuity.
    • Foster a collaborative, patient- and family-centered culture.
    • Drive engagement through recognition, communication, and professional development.
    • Build team competencies in pediatric care, safety, and evidence-based practice.
  • Clinical Operations & Care Delivery
    • Oversee daily operations: scheduling, staffing, access, and patient flow.
    • Ensure safe, effective, and developmentally appropriate care.
    • Monitor productivity, patient access, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.
    • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical partners to optimize care delivery and patient/family experience.
  • Program Development, Quality, Strategic Planning & Patient Experience
    • Provide input and execute strategic planning to guide program growth and service development.
    • Implement evidence-based practices and clinical pathways.
    • Drive quality improvement, outcomes tracking, and process optimization.
    • Promote family engagement, education, and service recovery.
    • Use patient experience data to identify improvements and enhance care.
  • Financial, Operational & Resource Management
    • Develop and manage departmental budget (staffing, supplies, equipment).
    • Monitor productivity, financial performance, and resource utilization.
    • Support capital planning and operational improvements aligned with strategic goals.
  • Compliance, Regulatory & Organizational Collaboration (10%)
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
    • Oversee documentation, billing, and policy compliance.
    • Participate in leadership initiatives and organizational strategic planning efforts.
    • Build and maintain relationships within the organization, with community partners and external organizations.

Education Qualifications
  • Master's Degree Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology Required

Experience Qualifications
  • 5 years Clinical Experience Required
  • 3 years Clinical Experience in Acute or Outpatient Pediatric/Adolescent Therapy Required
  • 2 years Experience in Leadership Required
