Job Description

As a Regional Business Manager (Aftermarket), you will be responsible for driving profitable growth of aftermarket parts, service, and remanufacturing business throughout an assigned territory. Working closely with Manitowoc distributors, dealers, rental companies, fleet owners, and end users, you will develop and execute strategies to increase customer uptime, improve dealer aftermarket capabilities, and grow aftermarket revenue.

You will serve as the primary commercial liaison between Manitowoc Product Support and your assigned accounts, supporting dealer development, inventory optimization, service readiness, warranty administration, parts sales growth, and lifecycle support opportunities.

You will collaborate closely with Service, Parts, Remanufacturing, Engineering, Warranty, Training, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience and strengthen Manitowoc's position as the industry's aftermarket support leader.

This position is remote and reports to the Director of Product Support.

Essential Job Functions

Dealer & Customer Development

  • Develop strategic relationships with dealer ownership, parts managers, service managers, PSSRs, and key end-user accounts.


  • Conduct regular dealer and customer visits to identify growth opportunities and improve aftermarket performance.


  • Lead dealer business reviews and establish objectives related to parts sales growth, inventory performance, service readiness, technician development, and customer satisfaction.


  • Support dealer development initiatives that strengthen aftermarket capabilities and improve customer support coverage.


  • Support dealer training initiatives for parts, service, warranty, and digital tools.


Revenue Growth & Commercial Leadership

    • Achieve annual aftermarket sales objectives
    • Develop opportunities for modernization, refurbishment, overhaul, and lifecycle extension projects.
    • Support dealer pursuit of aftermarket opportunities through joint customer visits and sales planning.


Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization

  • Analyze dealer inventory performance and recommend stocking strategies.


  • Promote utilization of Recommended Parts Lists (RPLs) and strategic inventory programs.


  • Review emergency order trends, fill rates, and inventory metrics to improve customer support and dealer profitability.


  • Partner with Inventory Management and Supply Chain teams on forecasting and demand planning activities.


Product Support & Customer Experience

  • Facilitate resolution of parts, service, warranty, and technical support issues.


  • Monitor dealer compliance with Service Bulletins completion.


  • Support implementation of aftermarket programs, promotions, and service initiatives.


  • Act as the Voice of Customer and communicate field feedback to Product Support leadership, engineering, quality, and product management teams.

Job Requirements/Working Conditions

  • 5 years of experience in aftermarket sales, product support, dealer development, service operations, parts operations, customer support, account management, or construction equipment distribution. Experience in cranes, heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or related capital equipment industries preferred.


  • Up to 80% travel required - Regional US and Canada international.


  • Must have passport or be eligible to acquire one. Standard computing skills. Outlook, PowerPoint, One Note, Teams, Word, Excel, Adobe Reader.


  • Must be able to communicate clearly with others, be adaptable to the environment and have strong negotiation/influencing skills.


  • Problem solving, critical thinking, decision making, management of time and stress are required.


  • Must be able to collaborate with others and have the ability to work as a team.


  • Ability to interpret financial and operational performance metrics.


  • Ability to influence without direct authority across dealer organizations and internal functions.


  • Understanding of aftermarket business models and lifecycle support preferred.


  • Knowledge of service operations, warranty administration, inventory management, and dealer networks preferred.
