Full Job Description
As the Quality Manager - Operations in Beaumont (state to be confirmed), you will lead all Quality Management System (QMS) activities, ensuring compliance with AISC, AWS, ASME, and client requirements across structural, modular, and pipe fabrication.

This role is critical in strengthening our project execution, maintaining our reputation for excellence, and serving as the primary quality interface with clients and inspectors.

With full ownership of quality systems and processes, you will directly influence project success and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

You will drive quality strategy, execution, and compliance across all fabrication activities, ensuring project deliverables meet or exceed contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implement and maintain The Shaw Group's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and procedures.
  • Serve as the primary quality representative for client inspection personnel.
  • Coordinate, review, and issue project-specific Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), including required hold points.
  • Oversee welding quality processes, including WPS/PQR development, welder qualifications, and consumable control.
  • Manage NDE planning and tracking, ensuring accurate QC reporting and documentation.
  • Identify, document, and resolve non-conformances with client-approved corrective actions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments from Materials to Shipping to maintain quality alignment.


What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of QA/QC industry experience, preferably in fabrication environments.
  • Strong background in structural, modular, and pipe fabrication.
  • Demonstrated expertise with AISC, AWS, and ASME codes (required).
  • Bachelor's degree and/or industry equivalency.
  • NDT Level II certification (per Intake).

  • Strong client-facing communication skills and cross-functional collaboration ability.
