Summary

HII's Platform Modernization group is seeking a C4ISR Installation & Modernization - Surface Ship Production Manager to join our team! This is a full-time role located in our San Diego, CA office. As a Production Manager you will play a critical role on our Multiple Award Contracts by ensuring that productive and safe work is performed on board U.S. Naval Ships and Military installations which is vital to our Mission to protect and serve our Military.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of field and/or task-level project performance (i.e., technical, contractual, administrative, financial).
  • Supervise personnel involved in all aspects of project activity, organizes, and assigns responsibilities to subordinates, oversees the successful completion of all assigned tasks, and maintains customer contacts to ensure conformity to all contractual obligations.
  • Exercise independent judgment, as well as a high-level of analytical skill, in solving non-routine technical, administrative, and managerial problems.
  • Develop comprehensive execution plans that include detailed project schedules and have the ability to fully interpret government furnished information.
  • Effectively communicate with various functional groups for material ordering, financial tracking, quality assurance, environmental health and safety, and contracts.
  • Assess project performance issues and present periodic financial (EVM) status and recommended approaches to Government & Corporate leadership.
  • Draft subcontractor documentation to include Statements of Work, Purchase Orders, invoices, and monitored work execution, financials, materials and resources.


What You Must Have

  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Must have an active SECRET security clearance.
  • Ten (10) years of direct work experience leading large-scale C4ISR ship installations.
  • Direct work experience in managing or performing the design, implementation, testing, inspection, logistics, resource management, and completion of Network Infrastructures for Department of Defense shore sites.
  • Ten (10) years of experience working with NAVWAR/NIWC.
  • Direct work experience developing and/or managing the following documentation:
    • Condition Found Reports (CFR) / Identification Deficiency Report (IDR).
    • Daily Status Reports (DSR).
    • Development and management of Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M).
    • Inspection Readiness reports.
    • Liaison Action Reports (LAR).
    • Work Authorization Forms (WAF).


Preferred Requirements

  • A Certification and management level experience in Fiber Optic Topology, Blown Optical Fiber (BOF), and/or Waveguide communication disciplines.
  • Relevant engineering experience with DON Ship Repair & Modernization authoritative ship alteration documentation (JFMM, TS 9090.310, NSI).
  • At least Fifteen (15) years of direct work experience leading large-scale C4ISR ship installations.
  • Previous or current experience working with the Global Sea Enterprise Contract.


Physical Requirements

May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
