SummaryThis role is pivotal in advancing the Credit Union's digital strategy by driving data-informed decision-making and optimizing the performance of member-facing digital platforms. You will own the analytics strategy and roadmap, and deliver actionable insights that improve member experiences and support business growth. You will partner closely with leadership, cross-functional teams, and external vendors to define key metrics, establish governance standards, and ensure digital initiatives are aligned with enterprise objectives. The role requires a strong balance of strategic vision and hands-on analytics expertise, with a focus on high-quality reporting and measurable outcomes.
Role and Responsibilities- Own the digital data and analytics strategy and roadmap across all member-facing platforms, prioritizing initiatives and capabilities that align with enterprise goals and deliver measurable member experience and business outcomes.
- Translate business objectives into clear KPIs and success measures, enabling measurement of digital performance, ROI and areas of variability.
- Own the end-to-end digital analytics data ecosystem, including data capture, integration, documentation, lineage, access, governance and quality controls.
- Define standards for how digital interactions are tracked, ensuring accurate and consistent measurement across platforms, vendors and member journeys.
- Deliver executive-ready reporting, dashboards, and performance narratives, setting reporting and visualization standards with a focus on business impact over vanity metrics, and influencing strategic and executive decision-making through clear, compelling insights.
- Drive ongoing improvements to digital experiences by identifying friction points and using data to influence optimization efforts.
- Provide advanced analytics and member insights, including behavioral analysis, segmentation, and support for propensity and predictive models that enable next-best-action, targeted engagement and lifecycle growth strategies.
- Continuously monitor and introduce emerging analytics technologies and methodologies, championing innovation such as advanced analytics, predictive modeling and AI-driven insights to advance organizational capability.
- Mentor and develop analytics talent by establishing best practices, documentation, repeatable processes and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Education Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science or Business Analytics, or have commensurate experience in a Data Analysis role.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analytics or business intelligence, with 3 years of data governance/data management experience.
- Proven track record of delivering strategic projects that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies for executive audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute analytics roadmaps, manage cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders.
- Experience with digital channel analytics across web, mobile, online banking, onboarding and digital lending, including analysis of member behavior, funnels and journeys.
- Proven experience working with third-party digital platforms and analytics vendors, including tool evaluation, data integration and optimization of vendor-provided analytics capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, DAX and data modeling concepts; experience with Python, R, ETL processes and exposure to AI/ML and predictive analytics.
- Strong communicator with exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills; collaborative and adept at building relationships across diverse teams.
- Prior experience in the credit union or financial services industry is preferred.
