Job overview and responsibilities
Provides support and leadership for non-hub base leaders, supervisors and flight attendants. Ensure accurate and comprehensive maintenance of flight attendant records and files. Updates the Base Director as needed on critical issues. The manager ensures annual goals are met and participates in the performance review and evaluation process for each supervisor/staff member regularly providing mentorship and feedback. The base leader, flight attendant supervisor and administrative positions directly relate to front line employee morale as proven by the efficiency of the supervisors promoting on-time performance of a clean, safe and reliable product and the continuation of our flight attendants' superior customer service onboard. The base manager mentors the base leader, providing guidance and support to ensure consistency and alignment with the hub locations. The manager also provides assistance with hiring and performance management for the supervisors and flight attendants. This position will oversee HNL and GUM locations.
Performance
• Leads the supervisory/administrative staff at the non-hub locations including support with recruiting, training, coaching, mentoring and performance management
• Ensure all base and divisional goals are met
• Serves as liaison with other departments and support for the base leader
• Collaborates with other operations groups (Airport Operations, Flight Operations, etc.) to effectively manage on-time departures in conjunction with on-site leadership
• Provides reporting and follow-up to base leadership on performance
Customer and Employee Satisfaction
• Responsible for the Base leadership in the bases with under 500 flight attendants and their direct report
• Supports the base leaders in achieving goals in the area of safety, reliability, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and budgeting
• Ensures delivery of inflight and marketing products determined by the Inflight division
• Supports the recognition and counseling of flight attendant
Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
• Must be able to obtain applicable government-issued credentials such as Custom Border Patrol (CBP) seals to access restricted and/or secure airport work areas. as required by the position.
• 3+ years airline experience
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Employee satisfaction - flight attendant satisfaction with work environment
• Customer satisfaction - support flight attendants to achieve Inflight service expectation
• Reliability - minimization of chargeable delay
• Using appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive team
• Facilitating the completion of team goal
• Developing and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment or work goal
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
• This will be a hybrid role with time spent in the operation on-site at multiple location
• Expected to travel 50% of the time
