Job Title:Metrology Engineer II
Job Description:Position Summary The Metrology Engineer II is responsible for developing, operating, and optimizing advanced dimensional measurement systems including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), CT scanners, and precision tooling used in FOUP assembly and inspection. This role plays a key part in ensuring dimensional accuracy, tooling alignment, and process validation across multiple production lines, supporting high-performance manufacturing and engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Measurement System Development & Operation - Program and operate CMMs for high-precision inspection of FOUP components and assemblies.
- Utilize CT scanning systems for internal structural analysis and non-destructive dimensional verification.
- Develop and maintain metrology routines and inspection workflows to support production and engineering needs.
Tooling & Assembly Support - Validate and align FOUP assembly tools, jigs, and fixtures to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Collaborate with tooling and design engineers to improve assembly repeatability and dimensional control.
Quality Assurance & Calibration - Calibrate and maintain metrology instruments and standards
- Ensure traceability and accuracy of measurement systems through rigorous calibration and validation procedures.
Process Validation & Improvement - Support new product introductions and engineering changes by validating dimensional tolerances and tooling performance.
- Analyze measurement data to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for process optimization.
Data Analysis & SPC - Apply statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and improve measurement system performance.
- Analyze metrology data to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for process optimization.
Cross-functional Collaboration - Partner with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues and support continuous improvement.
- Participate in design reviews and tooling evaluations to ensure metrology requirements are integrated early in development.
Quality Management systems - Assist with EQOS/ISO development, implementation, and compliance efforts.
What We Seek: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field or 8+ years of equivalent work experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Experience with statistical software (JMP or Minitab).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Desire to learn, ask questions, and enable collective success.
Outstanding Candidates Will Have: - Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with instrumental analysis utilizing equipment such as CMM, CT Scanner, Keyence Vision System.
- Previous experience in manufacturing operations and/or a manufacturing operations support role (i.e. manufacturing planning, industrial engineering, materials management)

Compensation: $75,000-$88,000/per year
