Standard Job DescriptionYou will be the Metrologist for the Calibration Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring precise measurement standards, developing calibration methods, and supporting production equipment reliability.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Metrologist you will be responsible for developing and evaluating calibration systems, identifying error sources, and guiding technicians to maintain equipment compliance.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Design and implement calibration procedures for a variety of measurement instruments.
- Analyze measurement uncertainty and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical calibration technicians to resolve out-of-calibration issues.
- Support production needs by ensuring timely calibration and compliance with due dates.
- Provide technical and administrative guidance on calibration processes.

Basic Qualifications-Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
-Experience Metrologist with 2+ years within Metrology and Calibration
-Experience with the use and operations of general test equipment from a variety of disciplines.
-Ability to utilize computer controlled automatic software and associated test equipment.
-Ability to generate calibartion procedures and interact with calibration technicians successfully
Desired SkillsSTEM Associate degree or higher
Working knowledge of the following:
- Aerospace Standard AS9100D
- IndySoft (Calibration Management System) and SAP Experience
- Automated calibration method development
-Detailed knowledge and understanding of ISO 17025 and ISO 9001
- Physical Dimensional calibration experience.
- Experience with multiple disciplines of calibration (Phys/D, Torque, Pressure, RF, etc.)
- Familiarity with following Quality Processes, and participating in audits
- Experience with automated calibration software: Met/CAL, SureCal, Agilent VEE, etc.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $63400.00 - $117800.00
