Job Description

As a Merchandising Business Intelligence Solutions Senior Manager, you will bring your intimate knowledge of business needs to deliver solutions that collect, transform, analyze, and report data and help our business stakeholders make data-based decisions and gain a competitive advantage. In your respective area of focus, you will be the go-to expert on the data, tools, and methods to drive value from and democratize our data assets. In this role you will leverage a network of business stakeholders, subject matter experts, data and technology experts, and resources to help ensure the products you develop and manage drive value through actionable insights.

Main responsibilities:
  • Lead for one or more of the pillars of Omni and responsible for the development of and accuracy of all said reports within
  • Being accountable for work being completed in a timely manner and documentation
  • Key liaison to core business groups and deep understanding of the specifics of their projects along with data ownership
  • Work closely with end users, subject matter experts, IT platform/data partners, other BI developers, and Data Science resources to build and automate BI solutions
  • Answering stakeholder's business questions by dissecting their data, using measurement techniques, drafting KPIs, and building reports and dashboards, along with maintaining our service mailboxes
  • Build and test functional prototypes for BI, data discovery, and analytic solutions
  • Responsible for direct report/s
  • Run data and dashboard quality assurance throughout the design phase in collaboration with the team
  • Address all questions related to the data, KPIs and dashboards for your respective area
  • Always finding the way to "yes"
  • Any other tasks related to Business Intelligence and Analytics

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience working in analytics or relevant field required
  • 4-year degree (Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience required
  • Strong business acumen and domain expertise in one or more retail functions including merchandising, operations, finance, ecommerce, and/or supply-chain
  • 6 years' experience with BI data visualization tools (Excel, PowerBI, Tableau) required
  • 6 years' experience querying data from relational databases using SQL required
  • Experience in UI development
  • Experience with data wrangling, data cleaning and prep, dimensionality reduction
  • Keen eye for details and aptitude for working with data
  • Understanding of emerging business solutions, technologies, and delivery methodologies
  • Knowledge of programming documentation processes/procedures
  • Ability to understand client expectations and recognize and escalate issues that may affect delivery
  • Passionate about data, analysis, and insights
  • Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training, with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products
  • Excellent communications skills (written and oral), customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Natural curiosity that welcomes and embraces change and willingness to try new things and to fail
