What you'll do- Lead daily operations of the memory care neighborhood, including staffing, scheduling, and quality of care
- Build individualized care and engagement plans for each resident based on their history, preferences, and abilities
- Plan and oversee a full calendar of life enrichment programming designed for people living with dementia
- Supervise, train, and coach memory care and life enrichment staff
- Meet regularly with families to share updates, answer questions, and address concerns
- Track outcomes and lead quality improvement efforts to keep the program compliant and effective
- Manage the department's budget and supplies
What you'll needRequired:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, gerontology, social work, psychology, or a related field
- 5+ years of leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or dementia care
- A track record of successfully leading a memory care or specialized dementia program
Preferred:
- Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) or Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (CADDCT)
- Therapeutic Recreation certification
- Experience with resident engagement technology platforms
- Grant writing or fundraising experience
