Signatera™ molecular residual disease (MRD) test. This role focuses on supporting oncologists and cancer researchers across solid tumors-with a specific emphasis on head and neck cancers-alongside complementary products and services within Natera's oncology portfolio.
In 2019, the FDA designated Signatera as a
Breakthrough Device, and Medicare proposed coverage for its use in patients with Stage II-III colorectal cancer as its first indication. We are seeking a mission-oriented Medical Affairs professional who can communicate effectively to help transform the management of cancer worldwide. The MSL serves as a primary field-based scientific resource for clinicians, academic institutions, and professional organizations.
Primary Responsibilities- Scientific Presentation: Deliver high-impact scientific and clinical presentations on Natera's oncology products, specifically relevant to head and neck cancers.
- Information Support: Address specific customer needs by responding to requests for information about marketed and developing products across solid tumors.
- Internal Collaboration: Serve as a medical and scientific resource for Natera Sales and Marketing teams, providing scientific updates and training with an emphasis on head and neck cancer data.
- KOL Engagement: Identify, develop, and manage collaborative working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in oncology, including head and neck surgeons, radiation oncologists, and medical oncology specialists.
- Research & Trials: Develop research collaborations with leading KOLs; assist with registry study enrollment and the management of Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs) in solid tumors and head and neck cancer.
- Content Development: Review and develop educational materials and slide content for healthcare providers and patients-incorporating tumor-type-specific scientific context-subject to approval by Medical Affairs and Marketing.
- Events & Symposia: Assist in agenda planning and facilitation for Clinical Advisory Boards and Symposia involving head and neck oncology experts.
- Compliance: Manage Protected Health Information (PHI) securely in accordance with company technology policies and privacy regulations.
Qualifications- Advanced Degree: Health care professionals with relevant clinical sciences knowledge in oncology (e.g., Pharm.D, Ph.D., M.D., or DNP).
- Professional Experience: Prior MSL experience is highly preferred.
- Specialization: Prior involvement with head and neck oncology or clinical laboratory tests (molecular diagnostics) is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Communication: Independent thinker and persuasive communicator with an outgoing and confident demeanor.
- Relationship Building: Proven experience establishing strong, collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, R&D) and external oncology customers.
- Presentation Skills: Outstanding oral presentation skills, specifically the ability to convey complex scientific concepts related to solid tumors.
- Autonomy: Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a strong teamwork ethic.
- Scientific Acumen: Knowledge of molecular biology and clinical oncology; familiarity with the head and neck cancer treatment landscape is a significant plus.
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
