Wage Range: $225,187 - $264,490 per year

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Medical Physicist - EvergreenHealth, Kirkland - Seattle East Side

You are invited to join our clinically sophisticated, comprehensive Cancer care team at EvergreenHealth in Kirkland WA. This position will support our radiation oncology program at EvergreenHealth Medical Center.

Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of radiation to achieve a therapeutic result as prescribed in patient care. Performs and oversees the technical aspects of procedures. Responsible for protecting patients and others from potentially harmful or excessive radiation. Follows established protocols to ensure accurate patient dosimetry, the measurement and characterization of radiation, the determination of delivered dose, and the advancement of procedures necessary to ensure image quality. Participates in the development of and direction of quality assurance programs. Assists other healthcare professionals in optimizing the balance between the beneficial and detrimental effects of radiation. Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.

REQUIRED for the position:
  • Masters degree in medical physics.
  • Graduate of an Accredited residency program in Therapeutic Radiation Oncology
  • Board Certification within 2 years of hire by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiology Physics or Certification by the American Board of Medical Physics in Radiation Oncology Physics or Certification by Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine.
