Job Description Summary

The Medical Economics Lead is the primary analytics and data lead for a large new RBE client, accountable for the full lifecycle of the client's data, reporting, and medical economics needs. This individual contributor has operates with minimal supervision, and serves as the recognized subject matter expert and technical lead for the account. The role converts complex clinical, financial, and operational questions into scalable reporting and actionable insights; leads end-to-end analytical initiatives; and communicates recommendations to senior internal leaders and key external stakeholders. Its decisions influence function-wide strategy, client outcomes, and repeatable Medical Economics practices.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary Medical Economics lead and go-to resource for the RBE client, owning end-to-end delivery of its data, analytics, reporting, and insight needs.
  • Own the client analytics and reporting roadmap, translating business priorities into requirements, measures, deliverables, timelines, and scalable solutions.
  • Design and continuously improve executive, operational, and clinical reporting, including dashboards, recurring performance packages, and ad hoc analyses.
  • Establish metric definitions, reporting standards, documentation, and quality controls so client-facing outputs are accurate, consistent, timely, and reproducible.
  • Own ingestion, validation, reconciliation, and integration of payer, clinical, financial, and third-party data; resolve complex data issues with IT and data engineering.
  • Define and communicate data architecture, data model, and infrastructure requirements for comprehensive reporting and scalable client analytics.
  • Perform complex to highly complex analyses of medical cost, utilization, quality, risk, network, and value-based performance to identify drivers and opportunities.
  • Proactively address undefined problems, determine analytical methods, test hypotheses, and develop creative solutions when precedent is limited.
  • Synthesize input from multiple stakeholder groups and data sources into executive-ready conclusions and recommendations that influence client and functional strategy.
  • Lead end-to-end analytical projects with minimal supervision, managing scope, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments.
  • Advise senior leadership on policies, practices, procedures, and actions based on healthcare cost trends, utilization patterns, and performance results.
  • Lead communication with key external stakeholders, including RBE leadership, payer, provider, and partner teams; facilitate meetings, present findings, and drive issue resolution.
  • Partner with Finance, Clinical Operations, Care Management, Quality, Provider Networks, IT, and other teams to align data, reporting, and improvement priorities.
  • Provide technical direction by reviewing analytical deliverables, setting best practices, and coordinating or delegating project work without direct supervisory responsibility.
  • Advance data fluency by helping internal and external stakeholders interpret reports, understand performance drivers, and use insights for operational improvement.
  • Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members, external stakeholders, and patients, and perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Health, Health Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field is required; a master's degree (MPH, MHA, MBA, MS, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in medical economics, healthcare analytics, payer or provider analytics, consulting, or a related field, including project leadership.
  • Recognized subject matter expertise and deep knowledge of healthcare claims, medical cost and utilization analytics, and value-based care performance.
  • Experience serving as the primary analytics or data lead for a large, complex client, contract, or business relationship.
  • Proven ability to design reporting strategies, dashboards, recurring performance packages, and scalable analytical products for executive and operational audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL and business intelligence or visualization tools such as Tableau; strong Excel and data validation skills.
  • Experience with payer data, EMR and population health platforms, enterprise data warehouses, and data quality, reconciliation, and integration processes.
  • Knowledge of Medicare Advantage, CMS ACO programs including ACO REACH, and/or other value-based arrangements is preferred.
  • Ability to solve complex and undefined problems, synthesize disparate information, exercise sound judgment, and make recommendations with limited supervision.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, including communication with senior leaders and external stakeholders and translation of technical concepts into business guidance.
  • Ability to influence without authority, provide technical leadership and project-based coaching, and work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.


Compensation Range:
$103,043.00
to
$154,563.00

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
