Description

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Chattanooga is now hiring a dedicated, experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our team as a Medical Director.

As our Medical Director, you will lead a growing team of specialty and emergency veterinarians. Working alongside a dedicated leadership team, including a Hospital Administrator, a Director of Clinical Staff, and a Client Service Supervisor, you'll have the opportunity to combine clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, focusing on clinical excellence, mentorship, and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on the clinical floor 3-4 days per week
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Veterinarians
  • Conduct annual reviews, host team meetings, develop compliance protocols, and ensure adherence to standards of care
  • Oversee medical staffing plans and align doctor scheduling to patient care needs and operational goals
  • Partner with Hospital Leadership and Regional Operations to drive hospital strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and achieve financial goals
  • Create and maintain a positive, team-first environment focused on quality medicine and outstanding client service
  • Support Veterinarians' professional and personal development through coaching and guidance
