General Summary
The Medical Director supports the Program Director in ensuring that both didactic instruction and supervised clinical practice experiences meet current practice standards as they relate to the Physician Assistant role in providing patient care.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrates active involvement in developing the mission statement for the program; providing instruction; evaluating student performance; designing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating curriculum.
Actively participates in accreditation and program self- assessment.
Serves as an advocate for the program through participation in admissions, clinical partnerships, and institutional initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
A current or previous license as a physician assistant, osteopathic physician, or allopathic physician is required.
Current or previous board certification is required.
