Your role at Clorox:The Media Operations Specialist is an independent operator who owns and continuously improves the end-to-end media operations program for the Cleaning portfolio. This role drives in-market execution, optimization, and governance across campaigns, budgets, and creative workflows.
The Specialist owns creative planning, tracking and documentation, ensuring the right content reaches the right end customer and retailers. This role is the QA gate that keeps the BE/BX media engine clean as it scales. Additionally, this role establishes best practices, connects cross-functional partners, and ensures disciplined, zero-defect execution at scale. The role requires strong judgment to independently prioritize, identify inefficiencies, and introduce process improvements that materially impact media performance and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will:-In descending order of importance:
- Campaign management and execution. Maintain and own live media plans from launch- manage pacing reports, reallocations, and value-added workflows (added-value units, bonus impressions, makegoods). Oversee campaign optimizations and budget updates.
- Own the end-to-end creative operations framework, including tracking, trafficking, rights management, and documentation. Establish and enforce naming conventions, QA protocols, and audience-to-creative mapping standards across teams and partners. Ensuring the right content reaches the right end customer/retailers. Continuously evaluate workflows, identify inefficiencies, and design scalable solutions that improve speed, accuracy, and performance across the media ecosystem.
- Oversee campaign set up across Programmatic, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, and others. QA placements, creatives, audiences, and tracking pixels. Serve as the final escalation point for trafficking and QA issues, providing guidance and resolving complex execution challenges across teams and platforms.
- Manage vendor relationships. Evaluate new media opportunities that help deliver Clorox business and marketing objectives. Lead execution of larger partnerships from initial concepting to evaluating performance.
- Budgeting and financial management. Mange internal budget tracking and optimizations. Responsible for communicating budget updates to agencies and tracking spend across internal and external budget management systems.
- Generate campaign optimizations based on insights. Work with Analytics, Brand, Insights and agencies to analyze consumer research, competitive data and media performance. Generate inputs and insights into performance reports and make optimization recommendations.
What we look for:- 3-6 years of hands-on media operations, ad trafficking, or campaign management experience - agency, publisher, retail media network, or in-house brand.
- Demonstrated experience with DSPs, social platforms and/or managed service media buys. Retail Media experience preferred (Amazon, Walmart, Target).
Skills and Abilities:- Ad trafficking platforms - expert hands-on: Google Campaign Manager 360 (CM360), Google Ad Manager (GAM), Display & Video 360 (DV360), Search Ads 360 (SA360).
- Retailer ad servers and self-service consoles: Amazon Ads Console + DSP, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart Ads, Criteo.
- Social ad managers: Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Pinterest, Snap, Reddit Ads.
- QA workflows: ad-spec validation, third-party tag testing (Charles Proxy, browser dev tools), pre-launch checklists, post-launch validation.
- Privacy compliance literacy: GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, consent-mode tagging.
- Excel/Sheets fluency for pacing reports and reconciliation; bonus for SQL or Looker Studio.
- Naming-convention and taxonomy discipline; documentation rigor.
- AI-native ways of working: comfort using AI assistants for trafficking checklists, anomaly detection, and SOP drafting.
- Strong written communicator able to escalate clearly and quickly to the Senior Manager.
- Calm under launch-day pressure; bias to checklists and zero-defect execution.
