Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor
Location: Wando, South Carolina


The Position:

The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities within their assigned unit are planned and executed safely, efficiently, and effectively. This role reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and provides direct leadership to a team of 10-15 Maintenance Technicians. The Maintenance Team Leader works closely with the resident maintenance contractor, Operations, Maintenance Management, the Maintenance Coordinator, fellow Team Leaders, and maintenance technicians to coordinate work, prioritize activities, and support the safe and reliable operation of the plant.

What you will do:
  • Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, providing performance feedback, training, and career development opportunities.
  • Monitor unit operations, prioritize maintenance work, and make critical decisions to support safe and reliable plant performance.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and contractors to plan maintenance activities, resolve equipment issues, and identify reliability and cost improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, work permitting requirements, maintenance procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, overtime, and resource allocation to support planned and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Serve as the primary communication link between maintenance teams and plant leadership, driving accountability, continuous improvement, and achievement of operational goals.


What you will bring:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years plant maintenance experience, including working knowledge of centrifuges, rotary steam dryers, material conveying systems, pumps, compressors and vacuum filters.


Additional Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age; legally authorized to work in the United States; and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., TN, H1B status), now or in the future.
  • Must be able to fluently speak, write, and read English.
