About the Position

We're seeking a strong mechanical general foreman who is willing to permanently relocate to our growing Charlotte market.

Are you ready to make an impact? As Power Design expands into mechanical work, we are looking for a Piping General Foreman to play a critical leadership role in the success of our new projects. This means we’ll need someone to ensure all projects maintain a high level of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. To top it off, you’ll not only have access to innovative technologies in the field – including fully-equipped iPads – but you’ll also travel to our 16,000-square-foot training facility for customized training courses at our headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida. Position Responsibilities

  • Manage, evaluate and train field project team members.
  • Plan, organize and direct production of contracted scope of work.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, inspectors and other trades.
  • Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades as well as the general contractor to identify and resolve any conflicts while providing excellent customer service.
  • Ensure all installations meet quality and mechanical code standards.
  • Manage material and personnel requirements necessary to meet schedule.
  • Adhere to Power Design’s standards of quality, safety and best practices.

Here’s What We’re Looking For

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Experience with complex Duct Systems, sheet metal, grease duct, exhaust duct, fire dampers.
  • Experience with Hydronic piping systems, Chiller, Boiler, Water Source Heat Pump refrigeration systems.
  • Progressive Mechanical, HVAC, or Plumbing leaders who love using technology and want a clear career path
  • Skilled field supervisor with at least five years of experience managing a scope and running multimillion-dollar projects
  • Active journeyman or master Mechanical or Plumbing license preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of the IMC, IPC, and IBC Standards; local codes; and construction safety requirements
  • Knowledge in Managing Plumbing Systems and / or HVAC Air distribution systems a plus.
  • Familiarity with project management and construction technology applications such as Bluebeam, ProCore, BIM 360, CrewConnect, FieldWire, and/or Open Space preferred
  • Flexibility to travel to other Power Design project sites as needed within the state of Florida preferred
