As a Mechanical Stores Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing aspects of mechanical storeroom operations, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and regulatory requirements. Your leadership will drive reliability, efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement across inventory management, operations and supplier relations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) compliance with ISO standards for the Mechanical Stores function.
  • Oversee daily storeroom operations, ensuring adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements, reliability standards, and 5S principles.
  • Coordinate inventory management activities in SAP, including stock control, cycle counts, variance analysis, and month-end processes.
  • Ensure the timely availability of materials, supplies, and processing aids through effective collaboration with Procurement, Operations, and third-party warehouses.
  • Support plant performance and decision-making by analyzing inventory data, spending trends, KPIs, and storeroom performance metrics.
  • Lead purchasing and supplier management activities to optimize cost, delivery performance, quality, and maintenance scheduling objectives.
  • Manage inventory levels for maintenance, EHS, cleaning supplies, and vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programs.
  • Promote and administer safety, health, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including workflow optimization, expenditure harmonization, ABC/XYZ inventory classification, and obsolete inventory management.
  • Partner with Reliability, Planning, and Maintenance teams to align inventory readiness with maintenance schedules, support kitting and refurbishment processes, and improve overall storeroom efficiency.

What you will bring:
  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related discipline (Business, Procurement, Inventory Management) or equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 3 plus years' work experience in administration, procurement, supply chain and/or materials management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of technology and business software applications, with SAP experience a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Good negotiation skills and understanding of the financial metrics that drive business.
  • Excellent organizational skills, along with the ability to deliver results in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Results oriented, proven self -starter with the ability to prioritize work appropriately.
  • Previous experience handling administrative duties independently, with authority to act on behalf of others, when appropriate.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, including the ability to solve position related problems.

Pay Range:
$88,800.00-$118,400.00 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
