The Opportunity - Build the Future With Us

An opportunity exists for a Mechanical Revit/BIM Modeller to join our GTA Buildings Mechanical & Electrical Transportation Group. Reporting directly to the BIM Manager, you will contribute to the transformation of digital project delivery by developing detailed mechanical 3D models, supporting system design workflows, and advancing BIM adoption across the Transportation Buildings sector.

This role directly contributes to WSP's strategic vision of becoming a national and global leader in M&E production through technology and design automation. You will also participate in enterprise-wide initiatives that advance design automation tools and digital integration across the business.

Your Impact
  • Deliver high-quality 3D models for HVAC systems, hydronic heating/cooling piping, ductwork, and mechanical system layouts.
  • Support Mechanical Designers and EITs with system design, equipment sizing, and detailed modelling for Transportation Buildings projects.
  • Develop Mechanical installation details and ensure drawing packages are prepared accurately for submission.
  • Produce 3D models for plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, and storm drainage.
  • Model natural gas piping for building systems and site servicing.
  • Contribute to departmental and corporate BIM standards, workflows, and process improvements.
  • Assist in the development of design automation tools that enhance modelling efficiency and production consistency.
  • Coordinate model deliverables and workflows with WSP's offshore design teams.
  • Stay current with advances in BIM technology and represent WSP at Autodesk University when required.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Mechanical BIM modelling within a consulting or engineering design environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Revit, BIM360, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM-enhancing tools such as Newforma Konekt, RF Tools, pyRevit, and interoperability add-ins.
  • Experience supporting regional or national BIM standards and digital production workflows.
  • Familiarity with design automation techniques; ability to script in Dynamo or Python is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building system fundamentals including duct sizing, pipe sizing, and mechanical code considerations.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation and TTC Standards is considered an asset.
  • Organized, methodical, detail-oriented, and able to navigate complex production workflows with initiative and independence.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:$77,400 - $102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $66,700 - $88,400
