Full Job Description
As part of this project, we are currently looking for a Mechanical Quality Coordinator to join our team.

What You Will Do:
  • Oversee mechanical QA/QC activities in alignment with the Project Agreement and QMS.
  • Support QMS implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, review, and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Coordinate and verify inspection, testing, balancing, and commissioning activities for mechanical systems.
  • Ensure mechanical installations comply with drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and contract requirements.
  • Monitor site activities to confirm adherence to approved mechanical designs and installation standards.
  • Track inspection and testing requirements, ensuring accurate and traceable quality records.
  • Ensure all inspection, testing, and measuring equipment is calibrated and fit for purpose.
  • Manage non-conformances (NCRs), including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification of closure.
  • Control and monitor non-conforming materials, equipment, and installations through resolution.
  • Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve quality issues and maintain compliance.
  • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with ITP hold points, witness points, and inspection requirements.
  • Maintain quality documentation and support reporting, training, safety alignment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Experience You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management,
  • Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of quality experience in the construction industry with a mechanical focus.
  • Experience on Metrolinx, TTC, or other major infrastructure projects is considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of installation, testing, balancing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, piping, and related infrastructure systems.
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., OBC, CSA, ASME, NFPA, OPSS, MTO, and project-specific requirements).
  • Understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and ISO 9001:2015 principles.
  • Experience with inspection planning, ITP development, audits, and NCR management.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, shop drawings, and technical documentation, and identify potential quality issues.
  • Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and document management software (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Procore, etc.).
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, time management, and field coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification is an asset.


Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000 annually. The listed salary range reflects potential base pay and considers factors such as experience, education, and training. Each candidate is evaluated individually and offers toward the higher end may be extended to those with exceptional qualifications.
