Summary of Position

As a Mechanical Project Engineer supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you are responsible for designing and managing mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion. You will apply your experience in: HVAC, plumbing/piping, refrigeration, fire protection, and fuel systems. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will coordinate with Site/Civil Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Structural Engineers, Architects and Construction Project Managers. You will be responsible for the production of mechanical engineering construction documents while adhering to client requirements, code requirements and site adjustments.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct site visit investigations as well as generate reports/recommendations based on findings.
  • Produce design plans, calculations and reports with limited direction.
  • Coordinate with subconsultants, provide client interaction support, establish and maintain phase and task level budgets as well as schedule project phases and tasks.
  • Schedule production staff and lead them through tasks, coordinate and assist with addendums, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
  • Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role.

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years of experience with general building mechanical design production, preferably with commercial projects such as retail, restaurants, grocery, financial, and/or convenience stores.
  • PE License required
  • Revit and MS Office required, AutoCAD a plus

Work Location

This can be either a remote or hybrid (1 or 2 days a week in the office) position based out of the following Core States Group offices: Kent, Puyallup, or Bellevue, WA. Would be open to a remote candidates in Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, or Idaho.
