As a Rotor Mechanical Integrity Engineer, you'll dive into the heart of gas turbine design using everything from quick-hit, low-fi solutions to full-on 3D FEM and advanced fracture mechanics to crack complex challenges. No two days are the same: one day you're conceiving bold new designs, the next you're validating them in real-world testing.

You'll collaborate with a global crew of experts across materials, manufacturing, and whole-engine systems balancing performance, durability, and cost to bring next-gen tech to life. If you love solving tough problems, making smart calls, and seeing your work go from idea to engine, this is your playground.

  • Own design and integrity of critical rotor & compressor components using 1D, 2D, and 3D analysis to push performance and extend life

What You Bring
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • 8-10+ years design, structural analysis, mechanical integrity assessments, risk analysis and fracture mechanics. More years of experience may be considered at a higher level.
  • Rotating components in turbo-machinery or similar, with strong expertise in mechanical integrity
  • Computational methods, including FEA using NX Simcenter, ANSYS, or similar
  • Programming experience (e.g., Python) to automate workflows and process data
  • Interpersonal and collaboration skills able to work across diverse teams and cultures, a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and innovative mindset, and a strong sense of ownership and commitment.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
