  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Senior Mechanical Engineers to review, derive, and verify mechanical and environmental requirements from higher level system requirements.
  • Provide technical direction on the creation of mechanical concepts, designs, and drawings of electronic enclosures and other mechanical systems for rugged environments using tools such as 3D solid modeling and simulation software.
  • Work closely with other design professionals (e.g., PCB Designers, Hardware Engineers, Systems Engineers), Supply Chain Management, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure a smooth project workflow.
  • Deliver presentations at internal design reviews and other peer, management, or customer reviews.
  • Perform environmental engineering tests such as thermal cycling, vibration, and shock in the test lab for both qualification and design verification purposes.
  • Support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
