Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Mechanical Engineer, you will:
Design & Development - Develop and analyze static and dynamic mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging designs.
- Ensure designs meet all mechanical performance criteria, including load and vibration requirements.
- Generate innovative solutions for new system designs and drive continuous improvement for existing systems.
Technical Expertise - Conduct feasibility studies, performance testing, and risk assessments for new and modified designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer needs and project requirements.
Documentation & Collaboration - Provide critical design information to drafting teams for documentation.
- Review detailed engineering drawings, ensuring specification compliance.
- Support prototype fabrication and direct support personnel as needed throughout the design implementation process.
Qualifications Required Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Two (2) or more years of professional experience in mechanical design.
- Demonstrated design experience, including hands-on work with SolidWorks.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with CREO and ANSYS.
- Familiarity with Windchill or other Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
