Full Job Description
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for our R&D / Product Development team at our Grand Prairie location.

You will make an impact by:
  • Leading new product development for electrical equipment (Low Voltage Switchgear). Engineer innovative design concepts utilizing CREO. Create multiple design concepts & perform trade-off studies of those concepts to determine the optimal solutions.
  • Being able to navigate through the unknown and actively seek out new knowledge to apply to projects.
  • Planning and managing projects including scope of work, schedules, costs and completion dates.
  • Preparing prototypes for design feasibility evaluation and testing. Prepare and execute test plans.
  • Working with cross functional teams to drive projects to completion.
  • Creating Part drawings, Material BOMs, Engineering Change Notices as they relate to product development, improvements and/or cost reductions.

Basic Qualifications:
  • BSME
  • 2 - 7 years' experience in new Product Development Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of Creo or similar 3d modelling software
  • Strong working knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), product design and concept testing
  • Hands-on prototyping experience
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Switchgear / Panelboard / Switchboard design experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience
  • MSME

The pay range for this position is $75,684 - $158,263 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
