About the Role

The Mechanical Engineer designs, develops, and improves mechanical systems and products to support manufacturing and product performance. The role applies to engineering principles to create efficient, reliable, and manufacturable solutions. The position supports product development, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

Mechanical Design & Product Development

  • Maintain ownership of material flow ensuring timely delivery to production and warehouse
    locations.
  • Move raw materials, components, and finished goods using appropriate handling equipment.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, storage areas, and production lines.
  • Stage materials for production orders based on scheduling and operational requirements.
  • Ensure proper labelling, identification, and storage of all materials and inventory items.


Engineering Analysis & Process Support

  • Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to support design decisions.
  • Identify root causes of product or equipment issues and develop corrective solutions.
  • Support manufacturing teams with technical guidance and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design and production challenges.
  • Ensure designs meet applicable standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.


Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with operations, quality, and supply chain teams to improve product performance.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives through design optimization and material selection.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, revision control, and engineering change records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and innovation.


Additional Expectations

  • Comply with all company policies, including the Code of Conduct and Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal product compliance requirements.
  • Support all activities required to meet Compliance Management System goals.
  • Raise any compliance-related concerns to a supervisor, manager, Leadership Team member, or through the confidential whistleblower service.
