Mechanical Designer within our
Property & Buildings team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of mechanical systems that support high-performing, sustainable buildings. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with senior designers and engineers while supporting a diverse portfolio of building projects across multiple sectors.
You will play a hands-on role in developing detailed models and drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting the technical delivery of mechanical building systems from concept through construction.
Your Impact- Prepare mechanical design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
- Support senior designers and engineers in the development of complete drawing packages
- Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire-protection systems for building projects
- Perform heating, ventilation, and cooling load calculations
- Support engineering calculations using relevant design tools and software
- Coordinate with project teams, external vendors, architects, and engineers
- Support project delivery through accurate documentation and technical coordination
- Participate in occasional local travel based on project requirements
The Skills That Set You Apart- Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in BIM modelling and mechanical system design
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience designing building mechanical systems (healthcare experience is an asset)
- Understanding of applicable building codes and standards
- Ability to work independently under general supervision while contributing effectively within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
