The Opportunity

Design the systems that shape how people live, work, and connect.

As a Mechanical Designer within our Property & Buildings team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of mechanical systems that support high-performing, sustainable buildings. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with senior designers and engineers while supporting a diverse portfolio of building projects across multiple sectors.

You will play a hands-on role in developing detailed models and drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting the technical delivery of mechanical building systems from concept through construction.
Your Impact
  • Prepare mechanical design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Support senior designers and engineers in the development of complete drawing packages
  • Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire-protection systems for building projects
  • Perform heating, ventilation, and cooling load calculations
  • Support engineering calculations using relevant design tools and software
  • Coordinate with project teams, external vendors, architects, and engineers
  • Support project delivery through accurate documentation and technical coordination
  • Participate in occasional local travel based on project requirements

  • Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in BIM modelling and mechanical system design
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience designing building mechanical systems (healthcare experience is an asset)

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 - $102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $70,600 - $97,200
