You will be the Engineering & Technology Manager (ETM) for an Integrated Air and Missile Defense development program. Our team drives the development and production of missile systems and equipment, guaranteeing the highest performance and reliability for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control.

What You Will Be Doing
As the ETM Lead, you will own the cost, schedule, and technical planning for Future Interceptor development while managing risk, opportunities, and all customer/supplier interfaces. You'll set technical direction, enforce best in class processes, and champion the professional growth of a cross disciplinary engineering team, keeping the program ahead of expectations in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Direct cost, schedule, and technical planning for Future Interceptor development efforts
• Partner with Production Operations and Development Engineering IPTs to smoothly transition products into production.
• Lead development activities and reviews, including design assurance and system-level customer reviews.
• Lead investigation teams, diagnose technical anomalies, and deliver clear, actionable reports.
• Develop accurate Basis of Estimates (BOEs) to support new business proposals.
• Expand the team's technical capability through gap assessments, training plans, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
• Manage employee development, performance reviews, and salary planning to build a high performing, motivated workforce.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering is required with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Experience in mechanical design for both development and production phases in aerospace or a similar industry is required.

Project technical lead experience is required.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills and teamwork with internal teams and external customers.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including diplomatic issue resolution, is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.

Experience with Computer Aided Design (PTC CREO or Solidworks preferred)

US citizenship required.

Desired skills

Experience resolving schedule conflicts and complex technical challenges requiring integration with cross-functional teams.

Control Account Manager (CAM) experience.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt training.

Experience with 3D Technical Data Packages in accordance with MIL-STD-31000 or ASME Y14.41.

Experience with creating engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.

Previous Material Review Board (MRB) and Failure Review Board (FRB) experience in a production setting.

Participation with Configuration Control Board (CCB) in a production setting.

Familiarity with the transition from development to production, including the resolution of design issues and optimization for mass production.

Experience creating cost and schedule projections or Basis of Estimates (BOE).

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100 - $208,150. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
