POSITION SUMMARY: Product focus - Fluid Fill Equipment. Produce assembly and detail drawings within Mechanical Engineering as assigned by Mechanical Project Engineer (MPE). Responsible for supporting the project team with tasks
proviided by the MPE or Engineering Manager. They are responsible for understanding the scope, following engineering processes, designing with in the budget and releasing to meet the schedule.
Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States on a PERMANENT basis. Sorry, we do NOT sponsor transfer visas for this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Fluid Fill Equipment Experience is a must.
- Design and/or coordinate complete drawing package for approval and release including all engineering BOM's and system details as directed by the MPE.
- Design complete project/item/task package in accordance with customer requirements. Specifies components and creates BOM's.
- Review, verify, and correct own work prior to checking by others. Ensures that details and sub-assemblies fit together.
- Revise drawings as required through detailing, manufacturing, or field changes.
- Develop cost effective, standardized designs.
FLUID FILL EXPERIENCE:- Knowledge of fluid fill process (fill brake, AC, coolant circuits, perform vacuum, pressure fill or level fill)
- Experience and knowledge of overhead linear drive systems, belt driven or wheel driven (including overhead rails and carriages dimensioning, motor and transmission dimensioning
- Experience and knowledge for hose management (cat tracks, balancers, cable trays...)
- Experience and knowledge of automatic clamp systems to guarantee sealing
- Experience and knowledge of sealing material and components and compatibility with fluids
- Experience and knowledge of design for different sealing system (O-Ring, Q-ring, gas or fluids, high and low pressure...)
- Experience and knowledge of pipes and hose design, quick connectors, high and low pressure
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.M.E.) from four-year College or university
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Design Software: Solidworks (better with PDM experience) and Autocad
- Computer Skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Effective Verbal and Written Communication Skills
