Mechanical Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical maintenance activities at a commercial nuclear power plant. This role ensures work involving plant mechanical systems is properly prepared, scheduled, and executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with station procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate mechanical maintenance activities including pumps, valves, heat exchangers, piping systems, and rotating equipment
  • Interface with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Work Management to support safe and efficient work execution
  • Review and verify work packages, procedures, permits, and material readiness prior to job release
  • Support outage planning and execution, including schedule coordination and emergent work resolution
  • Track work progress, identify schedule conflicts, and assist in resolving field execution issues
  • Ensure compliance with station procedures, safety requirements, and Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations
  • Promote strong nuclear safety culture, human performance tools, and procedural adherence
