Job Description:
Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day operations of the shop
- Supervise all shop staff
- Ensure that all work is performed safely, cost effectively and in a timely manner
- Manage parts inventory; ensure timely and effective acquisition of materials; minimize on-hand inventory
- Perform inspections, diagnosis, & repair on Plow Trucks, Heavy Equipment and Light Support Gear through preventative & scheduled maintenance
- Ensures that all shop personnel, equipment, vehicles and work areas are always following all safety policies and regulations
- Liaise with Operations Supervisors and drivers in a professional and team-oriented manner
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Maintain all equipment records and files
- Always ensure compliance of CMMS and is accurate and complete
Qualifications- 310T Truck and Coach Technician License
- 310S License considered an asset
- D class driving license considered an asset
- Strong technical knowledge
- Your own set of tools
- Valid Ozone Depletion Training is considered an asset
- Proficient in all areas of hydraulic systems and related repairs
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to take on new challenges
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot faults
- Diagnostic software experience considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Available to work late, weekends, and holidays when needed
Compensation DataTargeting a starting rate between $46 to $48 per hour
