Full Job Description
Operates and regulates equipment to maintain proper facility conditions. Observes meters and gauges, manipulates valves and machinery to keep readings within specified requirements. Maintains, operates, and adjusts HVAC computer systems to ensure comfort conditions. Performs preventive maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration equipment to minimize equipment failure. Determines time and materials needed for new equipment installation and remodels. Reads and interprets blueprints for installation and repair of equipment. Performs routine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of boilers and central plant equipment daily. Repairs and maintains plumbing fixtures, including valves, showers, toilets, water heaters, and unclogs drains. Repairs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments. Inspects and repairs Life Safety components such as fire/smoke walls, doors, exit corridors, exit stairs, and chute doors. Removes water samples, applies chemical tests, and properly applies chemicals as needed. Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned.
