MDS Director at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced RN MDS Director to join our team at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich. As a vital member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, and directing the MDS process for our residents.

We are an award-winning facility! Salaried role ranging from $45 to $50 an hour, depending on experience.

About the Role:

As an MDS Director, you will be responsible for coordinating the MDS process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of MDS reports, and overseeing resident care plans. You will also develop and maintain knowledge of current CMS regulatory guidelines and RAI Manual, and ensure compliance with facility privacy policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the MDS process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of MDS reports
• Oversee resident care plans through clinical assessment, review of medical history, personal interviews, and completion of MDS reports
• Develop and maintain knowledge of current CMS regulatory guidelines and RAI Manual
• Ensure compliance with facility privacy policies and procedures and protect residents' individual health information
• Maintain adequate systems to ensure appropriate documents are sufficient to support billed service
• Coordinate MDS systems, resident assessment, and care plans for each resident
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care planning
• Provide leadership and supervisory support to ensure high-quality care and services

Requirements:
• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college or university
• Must possess an active and unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts
• At least one year experience in MDS
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents
