The Opportunity:We're looking for a
detail-oriented MDS Coordinator to join us on a
full-time basis. In this role, you'll ensure accurate and timely MDS assessments, review PDPM classifications, and support staff with up-to-date Medicare guidelines. If you have a strong clinical background and a passion for quality care and compliance, we'd love to connect!
Key Responsibilities:- Review clinical documentation and hospital records to ensure completeness and compliance with CMS regulations.
- Review and validate Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) information for accuracy and reimbursement optimization.
- Evaluate the quality of care being provided to long-term care residents through detailed assessment and documentation.
- Complete MDS assessments and ensure their accuracy and timely submission in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid criteria and serve as a reliable resource for nursing staff.
- Communicate regulatory changes and provide guidance and training as needed.
- Monitor Medicare assessment schedules and nursing documentation to ensure consistency and compliance.
Qualifications:- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current state license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care, preferably with MDS coordination responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of MDS 3.0, PDPM, and CMS guidelines.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in electronic medical records and MDS software.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Industry standards applicable to the state depending on work experience and level of expertise.

Salary Range: $90K to $97K and other benefits
