Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) digital engineering strategies, systems engineering best practices, and applicable program standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including software, hardware, and test, to ensure system integration, consistency, and technical alignment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain system models using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and modeling languages.
  • Support system architecture development, requirements analysis, decomposition, and end-to-end traceability within MBSE environments.
  • Perform trade studies and technical analyses to evaluate design alternatives and support informed engineering decisions.
  • Support system verification and validation (V&V) activities through model-based approaches.
  • Develop and maintain digital engineering artifacts in accordance with customer requirements and program standards.
  • Assist with configuration management, model governance, and change control processes throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Contribute technical expertise to program reviews, design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and customer briefings.


Qualifications & Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited institution required.
    12-15 years of experience in systems engineering, with demonstrated experience in MBSE.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using MBSE tools, including MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, or comparable modeling platforms.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, system design, integration, and verification activities.
  • Ability to create, interpret, and maintain system models using SysML, UML, or related modeling standards.
  • Previous experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), federal government, or defense industry programs.
  • Understanding of Digital Engineering principles, model-centric development, and collaborative engineering environments.
  • Proficiency with requirements management, issue tracking, and configuration management tools.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise and system architecture frameworks used in complex system development.
  • Experience operating within Agile, DevSecOps, or other iterative software and systems development methodologies.
