Role Overview:The Maximo Admin Region Lead will be responsible for the functional administration, implementation, and ongoing support of Maximo 9.0 across North American locations, including the United States, Mexico, and Canada. This role encompasses pre-migration planning, migration oversight, go-live stabilization, and continuous post-migration support, training, and system optimization, ensuring adherence to best practices and regional compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Pre-Migration:
- Identify configurations, customizations, workflows, integrations, and data objects for migration.
- Ensure the source Maximo instance meets IBM and business requirements, including supported versions and database readiness.
- Coordinate contract, licensing, infrastructure, and connectivity provisioning within regions.
- Document migration steps, timelines, and resource allocation, communicating with teams.
- Address business and regulatory security and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with IT, Maximo Regional Leads, IBM, and cloud service providers.
- Migration:
- Supervise database exports and customization archive creation, ensuring file accessibility.
- Deploy MAS using operators, custom resources, and automated scripts for each region.
- Monitor migration progress, resolve issues, track changes, and report exceptions.
- Lead user acceptance, workflow, reporting, and integration testing for migrated regions.
- Record migration steps, train users, and support cut-over to the new MAS environment.
- Confirm security, DR, and licensing settings post-migration.
- Go-Live and Stabilization:
- Review Maximo logs, crontasks, and integration queues for failures or delays.
- Monitor integration points and reprocess failed transactions when necessary.
- Perform database health checks (index refresh, query monitoring) to ensure efficient job plans, PMs, and work orders.
- Add or modify user accounts and roles, auditing user group memberships for proper segregation of duties.
- Run data integrity reports on work orders, assets, and inventory to catch duplicate or orphan records.
- Validate weekly Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Job Plans schedules, adjusting allocations as needed.
- Review weekly KPIs for work order throughput, SLA compliance, and backlog aging.
- Generate scheduled reports or dashboards for reliability and maintenance teams, summarizing findings in weekly reports.
- Post-Migration Support:
- Address post-migration issues and ensure system stability.
- Continuously monitor system performance, availability, and health to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Provide ongoing support and training to end-users, troubleshooting problems.
- Analyze system usage and user feedback to implement improvements and optimize workflows.
- Manage and update system configurations, automation scripts, workflows, and integrations.
- Ensure data integrity by performing regular data audits and optimizing database performance.
- Leverage AI and predictive analytics tools within Maximo to improve maintenance strategies.
- Maintain security settings, access controls, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and fixes to keep Maximo up to date and secure.
- Collaborate with NAITS/NAITDC teams, business units, and external vendors.
Required Skills:- EIS: MAXIMO Functional expertise.
- Extensive experience in administrative functions for Maximo (Mas 9.0).
- Ability to train and guide local Denso, MSR (Mexico Sub Region), NSR (North Sub Region) identified resources in learning Maximo administrative functions.
- Can support North America Locations in United States, Mexico, Canada (Eastern, Central, Mountain Time zones).
- Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications:- 8-10 years of experience.
- Launched Maximo 9.0 in the past, understands runbook for proper implementation and best practices leveraging Maximo features.
- Flexibility to travel to Canada and Mexico for UAT and Go-Live phase.
- Candidate should be either a US citizen or GC holder, or H1B with a valid stamped visa who can move out of US.
