Materials Supervisor - O&M North Slope Construction
JOB SUMMARY
The Materials Supervisor is responsible for ensuring materials are purchased, received, processed, and distributed to meet project material requirements. This position supervises personnel, coordinates logistics, and implements purchasing and documentation processes to meet project schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Generate and expedite purchase orders and manage procurement processes in Oracle procurement module.
• Determine material take-offs and substitutions based on project specifications and drawings.
• Ensure and monitor timely delivery of materials to project locations.
• Interface with project and construction managers to provide material delivery updates.
• Maintain and report material sourcing through approved suppliers and freight forwarders.
• Review and monitor purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and payments for accuracy.
• Ensure supplier and related project documents are submitted to Document Management.
• Manage material warehousing and ensure items are stored according to Company and customer requirements.
• Coordinate daily activities and supervise personnel.
• Ensure personnel comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership and education in AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Have a High school diploma or GED equivalent
• A valid (U.S issued) Driver's License is required.
• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years' experience in Materials Inventory Management and Logistics are required.
• Experience with and an intellectual understanding of industrial electrical materials is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing software programs such as Oracle, Passport, or SAP.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE
While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:
Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.
Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.
Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam
Required to complete and successfully pass a background check.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
The availability of this position is contingent upon the Company's continued operational needs once training is completed.
