Job Overview

TE Connectivity is seeking a Materials Planner within the Lickdale Operations Facility. This position, reporting to the Materials Manager, is responsible for the production planning of components and finished goods to support internal and external customer orders. The role will include close co-ordination with process engineering, production management, demand management, purchasing, customer service, shipping, and quality. The Materials Planner will handle the day-to-day activities involved in planning and executing within the SAP manufacturing planning system as well as long-term capacity planning. Successful planning will create the proper inventory investment to achieve the business unit cash-flow expectations and an enhanced customer service experience.

Responsibilities:
• Support Supply Chain Team by helping develop and maintain executable production schedules from backlog based off of material availability to achieve customer request.
• Plan the execution of the production plan in a manual MRP/ERP for your product line and continuously update to system with known challenges.
• Participate in daily tier and production meetings.
• Support master scheduling through validating data in system.
• Plan within MRP system the appropriate inventory levels to support desired customer delivery requirements.
• Provide suggestions for inventory levels of components and finished goods to support project execution.
• Work with Buyers to address material priorities and shortages.
• Support material strategies as needed to meet production schedules.
• Support shop floor with material flow disruptions.
• Support program management with timely status on your product line.
• Provide feedback to sales and customer service to drive order improvements.
• Collaborate across Supply Chain, Engineering, Production, and Program Management to ensure alignment and execution success.
• Ensure Engineering change notifications are captured and actioned at the material and shop floor level.

Qualifications:
• BS or BA Degree preferred in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations or related field with a minimum of 5 years or equivalent experience
• Must have 2 or more years of experience in Materials Resource Planning systems
• APICS certification or equivalency preferred
• Possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-changing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure, balancing conflicting priorities and resource constraints
• Strong understanding of MRP logic and inventory control
• Experience MRP/ERP systems such as SAP and Global Shop
• Strong Computer skills; Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Excellence in Excel a must.
• Leader: Willingness to assist with different Kaizen projects to improve workflow
• Validate purchase orders, follow up with orders, and implement a strategy to reschedule in/out parts when needed
• Ensure Engineering changes are implemented by modifying bill of materials and capturing any changes on the production floor promptly
• Support shop floor with material flow disruptions by providing replacement parts in a timely manner and ordering new parts when needed
• Ability to analyze and reconcile material issues
• Must be proficient in English language

Job Requirements

  • Adjusting production schedules and collaborating with the production team to meet the target and on-time delivery to the customer.
  • Monitoring the product lifecycle, controlling the inventory, and arranging production schedules based on raw materials availability and assembly line capacity.
  • Assessing and communicating risks, tracking shipments from the suppliers, and coordinating with logistics, customs, and inspection to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Planning the raw materials and components requirements based on the sale order, new product sourcing, and supplier development across multiple product lines.

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional level experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $85,900-107,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
